There are 2 factors to consider when choosing a respirator: filtration efficiency and fit. Why fit? Because even the best filter is worthless if air leaks in.

Used institutionally to qualify protective equipment, a Fit Factor score is a result of an industry standard Quantitative Fit Test (QNFT) which measures the quality of the seal between filter/respirator and wearer. Ventum has consistently tested above 200+.
For reference, a cloth mask has a score of 3, a disposable surgical mask has a score of 8, and N95 certified respirators must have a minimum of 100.

Our filters have been 3rd party tested by Canadian National Research Council laboratories.

Yes it does. We included Ex-Flo exhale filtration to protect those around you and to comply with health regulations.

Not at all. Due to the tight seal between Ventum and your face, no fogging of glasses occurs.

Note: To ensure your glasses "sit" on your nose properly, we have designed Ventum to have softer material on the nose so you may press your glasses down for optimal viewing without disrupting the face seal.

Great question. While cloth masks are reusable, they are loose fitting and provide minimal filtration.

Our V96 filters have similar breathability as your traditional cloth mask or disposable surgical mask, but with over 20x the protection.

Our V99 filter requires a little bit more effort to breathe in, at the reward of unparalleled protection. For the average person, it's barely a nuisance and well worth the protection in our opinion.

Comfort: The medical-grade hypoallergenic silicone layer is extra thick which serves two purposes. It allows for a tight seal against your face, and it makes Ventum extra comfortable (even if worn for extended periods of time)

Filtration: We use filters with a larger surface area, allowing for better filtration efficiency with easier breathing (reduced air flow resistance)

N95 Standard: To be able to pass the N95 certification, a respirator must cover the chin area to ensure complete protection.

How you spend your hard earned cash is always a deeply personal choice. To put it simply: we think so.

Ventum is a premium, professional-grade product with a low overall lifetime cost. The only consumable components are the filters which are less expensive than purchasing disposable masks, while providing much better protection.

When you purchase Ventum you are also supporting Canadian Innovation while receiving real protection for you and others around you.

As with any tight sealing protective respirator, you do trade-off some level of audibility. While in our opinion the protection is worth the trade-off, we understand this may be bothersome.

You can remove the inhale valve (the larger silicone circle inside the respirator cushion) by pinching it and pulling straight out. This will reduce the degree of "muffledness".

Note: Your protection level is not affected by this change, however the inhale filter's lifespan is reduced. Always replace your filter when you feel it's getting difficult to breathe.
